When you experience a major life event, you change. An evolution of you occurs, and you begin to discover a new you because you *are* a new you. You should be. Your life has changed.
Your evolution will affect everyone around you. Not everyone will enjoy this change. In fact, some will do their best to you morph back into the old you.
This pushback will hurt and trip you up a bit, but you gotta keep moving forward with your evolution. It’s impossible to be an old version of yourself AND evolve simultaneously. Trying to do so will place you into a swamp of paralysis, stuck in between alternate universes. And you will start questioning your self-work and identity to accommodate others, feeling more comfortable with *your* major life change. Your morphing backward isn’t compassionate to your loved ones, either, because you’re unable to offer your true self to them.
Your new, true self is a gift—a bright, sunny present that deserves to be seen, loved, and respected as you are today.
